Senior Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Consulting team. Our Consulting Team helps customers to tackle a range of topics, ranging from policy, analytics, funding and compliance integrity. We work with a variety of public and private sector organisations.

Our consulting services reflect the full healthcare value chain including:

  • Healthcare cost trends analysis
  • Negotiation support services
  • Data driven reporting of clinical performance
  • Healthcare policy research and guidance
  • Demand and supply forecasts
  • Advisory services focused on software implementation and integration

Additionally, we regularly provide policy and strategic advice to customers relating to data-driven policy development using behavioural techniques to achieve policy objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in delivering consulting engagements for external and internal stakeholders
  • Develop scalable and replicable consulting solutions that can be leveraged for product/software development
  • Deliver excellent written reports to a variety of stakeholders
  • Manage complex engagements with multiple stakeholders and be the interface between business needs and IT realities
  • Share knowledge with others in a learning environment
  • Develop internal model validation and peer review capabilities
  • Provide both a commercial and user perspective to product development

Required skills

  • 5 + years of consulting experience
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently towards deadlines
  • Problem solving skills - the ability to solve business problems pragmatically through an analytical approach
  • Proven ability to present complex results to non-analytical stakeholders, understand business issues and solve problems pragmatically
  • Technical and analytic skills including programming, statistical modelling, mathematical optimisation, machine learning and/or big data analytics
  • A working ability to use analytical techniques common to insurance and health care
  • Some form of basic coding fluency (R, SQL, Java, etc) required
  • Health domain experience (ideally covering both health data and sector knowledge)
  • Strong desire to learn (external training and development will be encouraged)
  • Knowledge of compliance and/or model validation methods 
  • Baseline (or higher) security clearance for Australian Government preferred


University degree in commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics, actuarial or similar technical field or equivalent professional experience.
